TechNow: A slightly upgraded Xiaomi Mi-3s leaks in photos, specs are also in tow

Photos of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi-3S flagship have surfaced in China. The Chinese manufacturer is gearing to release yet another high-end offering in the local market and here are some of its specifications.

The Xiaomi Mi-3S is going to be powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and as the AnTuTu screenshot shows its quad-core Krait CPU will be clocked at 2.5GHz. 3GB of RAM will ensure trouble-free multitasking, while the latest available Android release – 4.4.2 KitKat will be powering the whole thing. Internal storage of this particular unit is just 16GB, but knowing Xiaomi’s ways, there will probably be a 64GB version as well. Also included will be a 5” 1080p display.
The other two photos give us an idea of the Xiaomi Mi-3S design, which will be similar to that of its predecessors, but with more rounded corners.

Moreover, this is just a Mi-3 with a few upgrades in the SoC & RAM. The Xiaomi Mi-3s is said launch shortly with a price tag of about $320, but we haven’t received official confirmation of those. We are also unsure if it will be one of the smartphone to lead the company’s overseas expansion, but chances are high.
