Rumours continue of Apple building two models of the iPhone 6, a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch model, and we continue hearing that Apple won’t be able to launch both models at the same time. We’ve almost lost hope for a 4.7-inch model launching at WWDC in June, and instead we’re expecting it to launch for the holidays. Still, rumors backed the 5.5-inch model to launch sometime by the end of the year as well, at least, until today.
It seems that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 phablet might be
delayed, and it’s hard to predict if that means that we won’t see the device launching this year. Apparently there are
issues with the design of this device, and it has to do mainly with the
battery. When Apple launched the first-generation iPad mini, the company had to
completely redesign the battery into a single-cell unit in order to make it fit
within the housing, and it seems that this iPhone 6 phablet will need a unique
battery as well.
