TechNow: OnePlus One to be released in 16 countries

OnePlus is continuing teasing its upcoming One, this time using Facebook. They released a sneak picture detailing the countries it will release its smartphone in. Currently only Austria and Germany are uncovered with the remaining 14 slots shadowed in secrecy.

That would put the total number of countries to get the One at 16. It's very likely that China will have a spot on the countries roster as well but the rest are still unknown. The US was sort of confirmed as well by OnePlus, which at the time said it will launch sales in Q2 of 2014 in 10 countries.

Currently we know that the OnePlus One will score a below-€350 price for Europe, putting it around or possibly below the Nexus 5 (a possible competitor at the price range).

The OnePlus One's OS of choice is a custom CyanogenMod Android KitKat, which will be driven by a Snapdragon 801 chipset quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait CPU and 3 GB of RAm. There will be a 5.5" 1080 display by Japan Display, non-removable battery of above 3,100 mAh capacity, Sony Exmor IMX214 6-Lens 13MP camera on the back and a 5 MP front-facing one on board. The storage options will be 16 GB and 64 GB, while other highlights include Stereo Speakers, StyleSwap covers in multiple materials and textures plus global LTE.
